The Culver City Sister City Committee has developed student exchange opportunities with our Sister Cities in Iksan City, South Korea and Kaizuka, Japan.
Exchange programs do not interfere with your regular school year. Participating in exchanges requires a CCSCC lifetime family membership due to the two-year family commitment of hosting and traveling.
High School students in 9th & 10th grade host and travel to Iksan City, South Korea. Prior to visiting another country students attend mandatory group programs to learn culturally and relevant information about the target countries. Exchange students are matched with families that have a son or daughter of similar age. Your counterparts will be as excited to learn all about you and your family as you are of them through the CCSCC Programs.
Other things you want to know about exchanges:
CCSCC does not pay for student travel or incidentals related to your exchange. Our organization helps make all necessary travel arrangements organizes and leads many group activities in preparation of travel and helpful assistance for being a home host. When guests arrive from other countries, our student travelers and their families help support various organized activities. Potluck dinners, games at the park, carpooling and being a GREAT Culver City host reflect on our entire community.
